Our values

All for the Hive
(and the Hive for all)

Leadership is shared by all. We lead by taking initiative, seeking input, and helping others thrive. We make decisions for the good of the whole, and achieve more together.

Shameless
Ambition

Be leaders in your field. Develop yourself and continually raise the bar. Feedback is the fuel for company- and self-improvement.

Design
the Future

Think big about how landscapes can be more beautiful, rich, and productive. Then build the systems to get there. We are stewards: decisions are ours to make, and ours to own.

Meet the GY team

Our team brings together experts in nature recovery, finance, and technology, united by a shared mission to restore landscapes at scale.

Perks & Benefits

From first idea to on-the-ground delivery, we bring people, data, and finance together for to support ecological impact and build reliable new income streams.

Flexibility
Hybrid, remote, in the office, or a mix. We love team time, but we value autonomy just as much.

Unlimited Annual Leave
25 days minimum but we offer a flexible policy on top. Take the time you need to rest and recharge.

Fallow Week
The whole company takes an annual no‑meeting reset for deep work, to strengthen quality of thinking, and reduce the impact of busy weeks across the year.

Tools that actually help
We use Notion, Slack and Google Workspace to keep things smooth, connected and collaborative — without creating chaos.

Our hiring process

The interview process typically includes 4-5 rounds. Depending on the role you might meet with future team members, stakeholders and leadership.

1

Your application

We review every application. If it looks like a potential match, we’ll reach out to arrange an informal call.
2

Screen interview

This is simply a chance for us to get to know each other and see whether Great Yellow feels like the right place for you too.
3

Manager interview

This is your chance to meet your potential manager and see how you click. We’ll dig into real scenarios, how you’d tackle the work, and what support you’d need to succeed.
4

GY challenge

Instead of guessing how you’d work, we’d rather see it. You’ll complete a short task or scenario linked to the role. We keep it focused and respectful of your time, and we’ll always explain what we’re looking for.
5

Team interview

A conversation with future teammates to understand how we’d work together in practice — and to give you a feel for the team you’d be joining.
6

Culture interview

This conversation is about how we work as humans, not just what we do. We’ll talk about values, collaboration, feedback, and how we show up for each other. It’s a chance to see whether our ways of working feel energising for you.

"The team is fantastic, the work is genuinely exhilarating, and at the end of each day I feel like I'm contributing to something that matters."

— Caitlin Ciceri, NatCap Programme Strategy Manager at Great Yellow
